Michael’s style of cooking is ’Terroir Cuisine’ which translates to ‘food that expresses a sense of place’.
Michael has long been a champion of the local, the regional, the seasonal and he has maintained that the Southwest has the best larder not just in the UK but in Europe. The exceptional seasonal bounty of Devon and the Southwest offers produce and food products that are simply unrivalled and outstanding, with flavours that are unique to this place, and Michael utilises them to create his own original cuisine that not only reflects the West Country, it also is an expression of his own original culinary genius.
As you would expect, our menus are subject to change on a regular basis. Our team in the kitchen source ingredients that are fresh, quality, local and seasonal produce. Therefore, the menu’s displayed may not represent our current offering.

The Wine List
The enjoyment and appreciation of fine wine is integral to the Lympstone Manor experience. Both Michael and Co-director Steve Edwards share a passion for wine and the creation of a world class cellar has been a long-standing goal.
