Many rooms feature private terraces or balconies with panoramic estuary or countryside views, and we also offer twin rooms and interconnecting rooms for added flexibility.
For a more immersive countryside stay, our Shepherd Huts are nestled within the woodland grounds, offering luxurious, apartment-style accommodation surrounded by nature. Each hut is unique and designed with the same attention to comfort and detail found throughout the manor.
What is the cancellation policy at Lympstone Manor?
Our cancellation policy varies depending on the rate or offer booked, the length of stay, and the number of rooms reserved.
For our flexible rates, cancellations or amendments may be made up to 3:00pm, seven days prior to arrival (hotel local time). If a booking is not cancelled or postponed within this timeframe, the credit or debit card provided will be charged 100% of the total stay, including VAT. This policy also applies to non-arrivals and early departures.
Full cancellation terms are clearly outlined at the time of booking and within your confirmation email. For special occasions, including Christmas and New Year, we recommend taking out appropriate travel insurance for added peace of mind.
Is a deposit required to book Lympstone Manor?
No deposit is required when booking our flexible rates; a valid credit card is requested as a guarantee only.
A deposit is required for pre-paid rates, group bookings, and extended stays. The amount and payment terms depend on the rate selected and your stay dates and will be confirmed during the booking process

Check-in at Lympstone Manor is from 3:00pm, with check-out by 11:00am on the day of departure.
Guests are very welcome to arrive earlier or depart later should they wish to enjoy lunch or make use of our leisure facilities during their stay.

Yes, we are delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs at Lympstone Manor.
We offer two dog-friendly suites as well as all of our Shepherd Huts, which are dog-friendly by design. Dogs are welcomed by prior arrangement, with limited availability to ensure comfort for all guests.

The Pool House Restaurant is our designated dog-friendly dining space. Dogs are also welcome in Reception, on the outdoor terrace for afternoon tea and light bites during the summer months, and throughout the hotel grounds.

We offer family rooms and interconnecting rooms across our Classic and Deluxe categories, as well as Z-beds for children up to 14 years and travel cots for infants. Children under two stay free of charge, with supplementary costs applying for Z-beds.
For a memorable family adventure, our Shepherd Huts provide a unique woodland escape, complete with bunk beds and stargazing windows. Each hut sleeps between four and five guests and offers open-plan living designed to enhance the intimacy and charm of the experience.
Does Lympstone Manor offer family friendly Dining?
Yes. The Pool House Restaurant and Bar offers relaxed, family-friendly dining within the estate grounds and serves lunch and dinner.
Children are welcomed with a dedicated children’s menu, prepared using the same high-quality ingredients as our main menus. Highchairs are available on request.
Dining in the Michelin-starred restaurant is a more adult-focused experience, and we ask that children are aged five years and over. For those 5yrs and over accompanying their parents in the main restaurant we are delighted to offer the children’s menu here alongside the adults’ menu.
For younger guests, we also serve a light supper from the children’s menu between 5:00pm and 6:30pm, served in the lounge and bar, your accommodation, or on the terrace during warmer evenings.
How far in advance should I book Lympstone Manor?
We recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment, particularly for weekends, peak seasons, and special occasions. If your preferred date is unavailable, our reservations team will be happy to suggest alternative dates or accommodation options.
Does Lympstone Manor offer flexible booking rates?
Yes. Our standard Bed & Breakfast and Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rates offer a seven-day cancellation policy, allowing you to amend or cancel your reservation up to seven days prior to arrival. No deposit is required for these flexible rates.

Our nearest local commuter train station is Lympstone Village or Exmouth Train Station. For those travelling from London.
For international long haul guests, fly to London airports (Heathrow or Gatwick). Lympstone Manor can then arrange a taxi & executive car transfer (~3–3½ hours)
The closest regional airport is Exeter (transfer time 20 minutes) or Bristol Airport (Transfer time 1.5hrs). Both offer short haul flights both internationally and regionally. With connecting flights directly from Manchester or Dublin into Exeter recommended.
Is Lympstone Manor easy to reach from London?
Yes. By car, the journey from London takes approximately 3–3½ hours via the M4 and M5 motorways.
For comfort and ease, we recommend travelling by train. Direct services from London Paddington to Exeter St Davids take around 2–2½ hours, followed by a 20-minute taxi transfer to the hotel.

Our Magpie Master Estuary Suite, located on the ground floor, has been designed with accessibility in mind. The suite offers step-free, same-level access, a spacious walk-in shower, separate bath, and fitted assistance handrails. Magpie also features a private terrace with outdoor fire pit and soak tub, all enjoying panoramic views across the Exe Estuary. For accessibility enquiries, the Magpie Suite is offered at our Classic Room rate.
The main entrance of the hotel is step-free, with valet parking and car drop-off available directly outside. Reception, lounges, bar, dining rooms, and accessible restrooms are all located on the ground floor with easy wheelchair access.
For dining, the Pool House Restaurant offers same-level access and a fully accessible restroom. As the gravel path leading to the Pool House may present challenges, our team will be pleased to arrange assistance via Reception and a golf buggy transfer.
We are also happy to provide a portable pillow alarm upon request and a warm welcome for assistance dogs, who are accommodated throughout the hotel, including all restaurants and suites.
