It’s all happening at Lympstone Manor for a murder mystery evening that includes an exquisite four-course dinner. Dress in your finest black tie or ‘stylish 1950s’ evening wear and step into the intrigue of 1955 as seven strangers gather at a remote Manor house – it could be Lympstone Manor – to witness the reading of the last will and testament of its former millionaire owner.
Your evening begins with a glass of Lympstone Manor Estate Classic Cuvée and delicious canapés, and as you luxuriate over that beautifully crafted four-course dinner, a world of secrets is slowly revealed by the cryptic rhymes of the butler. The tension rises, the threat of murder is in the air . . . can the mystery be solved before it’s too late?
Murder By Midnight Theatre Company is an experienced and enthusiastic group of friendly actors committed to entertaining audiences with suspenseful and intriguing murder mystery experiences, based in Plymouth, Devon. As the plots unwinds in unexpected ways, the cast interacts with the audience, answering questions and encouraging the sharing of theories and clues to create a truly memorable experience. Who is the murderer? Is it your neighbour . . . or could it even be you?
Based on the board game Cluedo, your role is to determine the victim, where the murder took place, and the murder weapon. Will you solve the mystery? Or will you admit defeat and utter the fateful words, “I haven’t got a CLUE DO YOU?” Even if you don’t solve the murder mystery, there is still the chance to win a bottle of Lympstone Manor Estate Classic Cuvée which will be awarded for the best dressed ‘stylish 1950s’.

The iconic murder mystery board game Cluedo is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Waddingtons, a UK games manufacturer, first manufactured Cluedo in 1949. Invented in 1943 by Anthony E. Pratt, a musician who took inspiration from his performances in mansions in the English countryside. He noticed some of the families of the mansions were hosting lavish murder mystery themed dinners and during the war Anthony developed a game that simulated what the families would host in their mansions.
This Murder Mystery evening, on Wednesday 18th December, will commence at 6.30pm with canapés and an arrival drink, taking seats at 7.00pm in the fine dining restaurant for a fun evening of delicious food and murder mystery!
