Today, the Stafford London is delighted to share news that reflects all three: Lympstone Manor – Michael Caines MBE’s renowned hotel, restaurant, and vineyard in Devon – is joining the Stafford Collection as an associate member.
This exciting new partnership follows Michael Caines’ recent appointment as Culinary Strategist for The Stafford London. His involvement with the the Stafford London marks his first venture into the capital, bringing his celebrated culinary expertise to the heart of St James’s.

A Shared Vision of Excellence
John McLean, Managing Director of the Stafford Collection, describes the partnership as “an exciting chapter” that highlights a shared dedication to excellence, individuality, and warm hospitality. “Michael and his exceptional team embody everything the Stafford Collection stands for,” he says. “We’re thrilled to welcome Lympstone Manor into the family.”
With this addition, the Stafford Collection now includes The Stafford London, Lympstone Manor, and Norma – a Sicilian-inspired restaurant in Fitzrovia -creating a distinctive trio of properties offering unique experiences across both city and coast.
Michael Caines Goes To London
Michael Caines is one of Britain’s most respected Michelin-starred chefs, known for his elegant, terroir-driven cuisine that champions seasonality, sustainability, and local provenance. As Culinary Strategist at The Stafford London, Michael is reimagining our dining offering – beginning with an exciting transformation of The Game Bird restaurant.
Later this autumn, The Game Bird will unveil a new name and identity, inspired by Michael’s culinary philosophy and the character of The Stafford itself. Guests can look forward to a new menu featuring some of Michael’s signature dishes and seasonal creations using the finest British ingredients. This will be a new chapter for dining at The Stafford London, where tradition and innovation meet in every dish.

This collaboration offers guests a seamless journey from coast to city – where exceptional hospitality and great food remain at the heart of the experience. As part of this exciting collaboration, guests will soon be able to book a special “City to Coast” package, combining a stay at The Stafford London with a visit to Lympstone Manor.
