The theme for our Spring Nature Walk is migration on the estuary.
Join local Countryside Manager, James Chubb, for a morning birdwatching on the internationally renowned Exe estuary followed by a three course lunch, with a glass of Lympstone Manor Estate Classic Cuvée and a glass of wine or non-alcoholic alternative, in our Pool House restaurant.
With spring migration in full flow on the estuary, the rich mudflats are alive with feeding bird flocks. Resident species such as oystercatcher and little egrets will be joined by migrating species such as osprey and dunlin.
Aimed at novice to intermediate bird watchers, James will provide guidance on how to identify waders and wildfowl, as well as describe the amazing journeys some of the species are undertaking.
Please bring binoculars if you have them, although a selection of optics will be available to use for the event.
