Four course dinner with accompanying wines plus drinks on arrival, canapes, coffee and petit fours
We will be hosting a fun event with traditional Japanese food and Japanese wine. The event will be hosted by Damon Little form Liberty Wines.
Japanese food, known for its balance, simplicity, and artistic presentation, is a reflection of Japan’s deep culinary traditions and cultural heritage. Central to Japanese cuisine is the emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients that highlight the natural flavours of the food. Staples like rice, seafood, and vegetables are often prepared using techniques such as grilling, steaming, or raw preparation, as seen in dishes like sushi and sashimi. The cuisine also features iconic flavours, including umami-rich miso, soy sauce, and dashi broth, which form the base of many dishes. Popular dishes such as ramen, tempura, and okonomiyaki demonstrate the diversity of Japanese cuisine, while tea ceremonies and seasonal sweets like mochi reflect its cultural and aesthetic depth.
Damon has chosen a varied and interesting selection of wines which pair beautifully with each course during the evening and will also explain the wine styles and place of origin after each one is served.
The evening will commence at 7.00pm with canapés and an arrival drink, taking seats at 7.30pm in the in the Pool House dining area for a good time and some delicious food.
