International Women’s Day 2020
At Lympstone Manor, we’re proud to be a strong supporter of Women’s Rights and ensuring that, regardless of your sex, we offer an equal playing field for everyone.
International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8 and has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911.
The day is not country, group or organisation specific, but belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained: “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.”
International Women’s Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action, something that both Michael and the entire team at Lympstone Manor believe strongly in.
We’re deeply proud to be an organisation which promotes based on merit, offers a safe working environment, and ensures that all employees sign up to, and adhere to, our code of conduct. This means that anyone, regardless of gender, sex or sexual preference will know that they can thrive with us and experience the exceptional.
We currently have many women in leading roles at The Manor; including our General Manager, Sales and Revenue Manager, HR Manager, Operations Manager as well as Head of Reception and Head of Housekeeping, click here to view more.
