Four course dinner with accompanying wines plus drinks on arrival, canapes, coffee and petit fours

Whilst New Zealand is best known for its outstanding array of Sauvignon Blanc wines it actually produces a large variety of high quality, distinctive wines in every category from a wide variety of grape types and has achieved remarkable success and a well-deserved international reputation for them largely due to its long growing season and cool maritime climate. New Zealand has 10 different growing regions which from north to south span over a 1,000 miles or 1,600 kilometres and due to New Zealand’s maritime climate no vineyard is more than 80 miles from the sea. The European equivalent would be a stretch of vineyard regions from Bordeaux to Southern Spain! As a result of growing grapes in such a wide area with a range of micro-climates and soil types, a very diverse range of wine styles has developed.

We will have a selection of wonderful wines that cover a range of regions and wine styles and Michael has designed a fantastic themed menu which will focus on traditional New Zealand fare to match the interesting flight of wines.

We are very fortunate to have Damon Little from Liberty Wines hosting the event, Damon relocated to the UK from South Africa where he ran his family owned hotel and he worked as the Head Sommelier for Nathan Outlaw for many years and also purchased wine for the group, before moving to his current role with Liberty Wines.

The evening will commence at 7.00pm with canapés and an arrival drink, taking seats at 7.30pm in the Pool House dining area for a fun evening of fine wines and delicious food. We look forward to welcoming you to Lympstone Manor.
