Four course dinner with accompanying wines plus drinks on arrival, canapes, coffee and petit fours
We will be hosting a fun event with traditional Japanese food and Sake. The event will be hosted by Damon Little of Liberty Wines who relocated to the UK from South Africa where he ran his family owned hotel. Damon worked as the Head Sommelier for Nathan Outlaw for many years and also purchased wine for the group, he has a particular passion for Sake and will be introducing a range of Keigetsu wines produced by the family owned Tosa Brewery situated in the beautiful mountainous region called Tosa Reihoku in the Kochi prefecture on the island of Shikoku in southern Japan.
The Tosa brewery have been operating since 1877 and making Sake from organically grown, local rice varieties one of which is only grown in two mountain regions of Japan. Owner Muneki Matsumoto believes that his local rice, grown within twelve kilometres of the brewery, is best suited to Tosa Reihoku because it grows so well on their terraced rice paddies at 300 – 600 metres above sea level and is perfect for their high quality Sake production.
The evening will commence at 7.00pm with canapés and an arrival drink, taking seats at 7.30pm in the Pool House dining area for a fun evening of traditional Japanese food and Sake. We look forward to welcoming you to Lympstone Manor.
